What Nonsense is a humorous and sometimes creepy webcomic featuring anthropomorphic animal characters.
The story follows the lives of the slightly deranged residents of "Nawncentz Inn," a remote vacation home, and
the confused man who has been forced to live with them. I'd say there's nothing too adult about this story, save for some violence and cursing. It's
recommended for ages 14 and up.
What Nonsense has been online since 2008 and has no fixed "update day." I draw about 2-3 pages a month. Pages take a while because I work part time, and the pages themselves are pretty labor-intensive. I highly recommend following along via Facebook, Twitter, or subscribing to my RSS Feed for updates.
I've planned out the story for What Nonsense, and I think it'll make one 300+ page graphic novel when it's done.
As I want to be a professional cartoonist one day, I think of this strange little narrative as an exercise for greater things to come.
That said, I hope you enjoy. My greatest wish is simply to entertain. :)
What Nonsense is hand-drawn, lettered, and inked. It is then colored in Photoshop CS2. I use traditional comic book colors
in 25% increments of cyan, magenta, and yellow. Hence the bright colors. You can see a video of my coloring process
here.
About the Cartoonist
My name is Caitlin Crowley, and I draw and write What Nonsense. In 2012 I graduated from SMU with a degree in English
with a specialization in Creative Writing. I enjoy tea, collecting things, watching cartoons, and telling stories. I don't really consider myself a writer
or artist specifically, just an entertainer.
If you have any comments or questions about What Nonsense, I can be easily reached at dranxis@yahoo.com.
I also have a Deviantart gallery for my non-comic art here but it hasn't been updated in a long time.
